I got a postcard from my history teacher that I can send (if I want) to someone in the war (from Canada, in Afghanistan) right now, but I don't really know what to write.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Honour thy fallen!
I remember when I had to write a postcard to a soldier in Afghanistan. It was the hardest thing I have ever done.
"Dear Soldier and all your buddies,
WHEN YOU GET BACK THERE'LL BE LOADS OF STEAKS, RIBS, ROASTS and/or PORK CHOPS WAITING TO BE CONSUMED. With the optional side item of mashed red-potatoes, corn on da cob, buttered green beans and egg noodles. But only one of you can come at a time to Mae's house on days where said food is being offered. You'll be our guest... As long as her Dad says its ok, eh?
